Grant Dungee and “The Central Call”
Grant Dungee 1869 -1941, was the founder, editor and publisher of 'The Central Call', the first newspaper in Cumberland County, Virginia. This website was created to honor his memory and his accomplishments.
Ernest Adolphus Finney, Jr.(1931–2017) from his difficult beginnings and his roots in Cumberland, to his contributions as a civil rights warrior and icon. He made his own way and, “Never Had it Made”.
